Hoping this can be a fun thread and you might share some things you're guilty of!
I really like to fish JMart even though it gets really hot down there. Love the fact you can have a multiple species day, I've caught as many as 7 different species in the same day. So here are a couple things I'm guilty of when going there. I know it has LMB and I even know where they're at, yet I never fish for them. Next, I have great lures to target other species in those waters like walleye, sauger, SMB, wipers and stripers... BUT when the weather and water is warm, I'll opt to use lures that catch white bass and crappie because I KNOW, no matter what, I'm almost guaranteed to catch them in numbers. lol Rather than risk getting skunked!

I guess my first one is crappie. Certain times of the year, like when I'm hungry, they can become an OCD singular priority in life. My wife has asked me many times, "Why don't you just marry a crappie?"
The other one is occasionally bearing false witness against thy neighbor. JMart is a dried up carp wallow.

I’m guilty of not fishing often enough! I plan a bunch of trips to fish places I like to gp,in my head, but never get there. Same is true for mushroom and berry picking. (I HATE getting old!)
I am guilty of wanting to ice fish all year round. Summer fishing just doesn't do it for me...
I am however planning to hit Jmart over the 4th. Really hoping to catch a walleye. Not sure how doable that will be from the bank... but I am sure we can find those white bass and crappie to play with.

Nothing to be guilty of there, Jim. Path of least resistance, that's the way of the universe. Long gone are the days when I tried to chase trophy fish or multi species. I just do what I enjoy now.
Every dam thing my wife accuses me of ! I really need to get a dog ! Then at least I could say “Nooo….The dog did it ! Cool thing about dogs. Even if they get mad at you for falsely accusing them . Slide them some treats. And all is good again ! A cheap scapegoat !
Rogbow and Jerry - please look at the pics and let me know when you think you're close to where I'm at... this is just a small sample. lol
too am guilty of having new lures and not using them and go to my known "go to" lures. My trick for that as I've mentioned before is to leave all the "go to" lures at home and take only new ones. I do that at least twice a year.
AWB that lure was meant to use and lose not rub with a diaper and admire lol. I’m definitely guilty of using the same lures over and over without results even though I have many that are unused. Seems to be the trend. If you can’t fish you just buy more stuff and it feels that you’ve done something about it.🎣
Linh - WHOA WHOA WHOA.... exactly where did I say I FELT guilty????? hmmm?? I said.. and I quote, "Things I'm Guilty Of" I don't feel guilt about a single thing.. actually I rather enjoy it! lol
