Not much boat traffic competition with this 5-dollar gas haha. Nice job.

Drove through Trinidad a hundred times headed somewhere else. Always meant to stop and fish there, but haven't done it yet. Congrats on the MA/PB SMB. That's a good fish!

Those cloudy days with "choppy" water are my favorite time to be on the water.

Good video, I think a lot of people will be interested in the fishing there, thanks for sharing.

By the way. That lure/color is an absolute killer at night & the moon is perfect for it right now.

RogBow: With $5 gas it’s painful enough just driving to the lake. It gets tiring paddling around the lake all day but the price is good:) Thanks for watching the video….I hope it gave you some insights into Trinidad Lake.!

Barnacles: Like always I really appreciate your support and feedback. I do think the lake is definitely worth a try next time you are heading in that direction. The campground there is very nice as well! That green/chartreuse color has definitely been working well for me this season!

not too old to fish: that was exactly my purpose for making this video…I wanted people to be able to get a look at the lake and some of the fish it holds before making the long trip down there. Hopefully they can put up with my commentary:)

Trinadad has excellent yellow perch fishing. When other lakes start to slow down, Trinadad gets hot. July and August are great months to fish it. The CPW biologist stocks it heavily with walleye/saugeye.

Perch on the crank bait got my attention. As soon as I can save enough money to put gas in my moped I'm gonna go down there and sack-em up.

fishmohr: hmm…might just have to plan another trip down there later in the summer.

Barnacles: the perch seemed pretty willing to go after crank baits…caught quite a few of them that I did not put in the video. I wish that I could peddle my car down there like I peddle my kayak around the lake.

Congrats on the PB MA Smallmouth Greg!! Just got done watching the video, never been there but will have to add to the list. Looked like a lot of fun hitting all those species!

That sounds like a plan to me. I'm just slammed with Basketball right now. 30 games this month😬 After I should have a lot more of a flexible schedule, hopefully it won't be too late by then.

Hey Kiva,

I live down in southern Colo and yes Trinidad is a great fishery as you've shown. Great choice with the Firetiger Flicker Shad, i always have one tied on down there and if they don't like that, then natural colors are my 2nd choice. 16-20" Smallmouth are very common with good walleyes and even a few nice wiper, perch, crappie and of course those slimey stockers can be caught all on that Firetiger!

Drop me a note if you ever want to come down and hop in the Lund with me!

Great video
