Taylor River Browns

PART TWO of the fishing trip to CRESTED BUTTE!🎣
We planned on sticking close to Crested Butte for the entire trip but the owner of the house we stayed at STRONGLY recommended we travel about 40 minutes away and hit the TAYLOR RIVER! It DID NOT disappoint.

The water was very clear, area was very beautiful, and the fishing was phenomenal!! We slammed brown trout all morning of various sizes, including a couple really healthy big ones! The cool thing was, every brown we caught was GORGEOUS! The HD Trout from Dynamic Lures was of course the ticket, always is a winner when fishing rivers in Colorado! The most exciting part for this day for me was I got my FIRST EVER Fish on the fly in a river🥳🥳 I was ecstatic and love fly fishing more and more each time I use my fly rod!

Lots of fishing action, underwater shots of the fish, and fun drone shots including some shots in the intro directly over the water. You get to see some of what we saw...Trout stacked all over the place!!
Enjoy the pictures and video if you have time

Beautiful browns. Hard to beat that area for scenery.
Got me checking the regs to see if I can troll with a drone.

Thanks man! I'm really happy we decided to venture out and get on the Taylor instead of stay close to Crested Butte, was certainly worth it!

LOL we've talked about that before...How terrible would it be though if you hooked a big one and it just dragged your drone into the water or something😂😂

My old stomping grounds. I'm probably not telling you anything you don't know but the Taylor River can be extremely deceptive and dangerous. The water clarity combined with the bottom structure has lead me into situations that caused puckering--ness--ment...........

I thought I was paying attention but the return to shore had me stepping into holes I couldn't see or water that was way deeper among other things. The current is deceptively strong. A lot of times I waited till almost sundown to get out and it was dark by the time I made it out---soaking wet, cold and very nervous.. I used to fish up there with a legend who warned me that he has taken more hair raising swims on the Taylor than anywhere else.. If you slip and get carried into deeper water, any snaggy tree branch or root could do you in............ Very cold water.

Great pics and vids as always------Mr Low Energy!
