Wondered if anyone had an update about Jefferson Lake. Is the gate open? open water? Thanks

Called the Ranger District this morning and they said the road is still snowed in. The lake is about 50% open. May be a few weeks before they open the gate.

This is a satellite image over Jefferson on 31 May at 0856 MST. Looks like the lake is thawed and the road up looks pretty clear too.

dlbrach - Great satellite image, especially since it has so little cloud cover! Thanks! I assume the source is commercial.

Kenny, yes the source is commercial. I work for a commercial imaging company and we are able to request some low priority imagery as employees. Here is another image from this morning about 0928 MST. I have to crop them down though, because the originals are far too large to post.
