Fish: Cutthroat Trout

Rock'n Rivers

The western Slope rivers that are still clear are hot now. My Grandson, Mason , found some nice cutts on a tail water last weekend, then some of my buddies and I have been catching and releasing some real pretty rainbows on the Gunnison. Small 1/8 ounce marabou jigs in black and brown have been the most consistent although the biggest bow hit a Dynamic J-Spec jerkbait.

Thanks, Brad, Jim and Russ. Yep, Jim, we could arrange that for a trade for one of those fancy rods, Lol. Actually, I am really looking forward to my annual guided trip to Pueblo with Russ n Karen next week. With my Boss of course.

Couple more pics, a real nice brown from last Monday on the Gunny caught by my friends 17!year old son, plus my biggest bow from Monday.

Fun times Jerry! Mason's going to be a man before you know it.

Hope to see you and your family sometime this summer on the west side.

Thanks Lance. Mason is 14, he is thinking about driving already. You need to stop by, July is our least booked month and a fine time for tail waters and Grand Mesa lakes. I have a kayak with your name on it!

Rivers are really fun when the bigger fish get aggressive, Kevin, thanks. You know that you and your Dad always have room n board near those rivers whenever you decide.
