Fish: Black Crappie

Front Range Crappie

Wasn't expecting this today. 80 degrees in the plains & just got to put the boat in for a few hours. Quickest limit of crappie ever, 50 yards from the boat ramp. Water temp went from mid 30s to mid 50s in a matter of days.

Nice job... only time I've ever limited out on crappies was through the ice. Delicious....

Pretty rare for me to catch a limit too xavierk31. I'm usually happy to go home with a couple of fat ones. Never caught one through the ice yet.
It's all Muth's fault --- he never should have sold me that fish finder. It's not fair now.

For clayer, not ignoring your question. I'm not much good at keeping secrets & have an open seat in my boat most of the time for anyone that wants to go.

I told you that was a good little finder. Glad it’s getting some use besides collecting dust in my basement. I caught a lot of fish from my toon with that thing. Worked great for vertical jigging.

Barnacles,
Nice work...I agree on posting spots....I'm in Loveland, CO and a family lake home in NE SD. Us locals had a nice 1,000 acre lake that produced Jumbo Perch & many nice eyes pushing 12Lbs. A couple guys had a good day from out of state and in 2 weeks we counted over 500 fisherman for at least a month (pending on weather) --- guides and interweb ruined a nice fishery for locals for over 20 years.

I am basically fishing solo now with our son graduating, cars, girlfriend, & flight school on the horizon, I only have my 8 year old daughter to go with and she's a trooper...I have a 17.5 deep V, Ulterra, Helix 10 & 7 networked. I know you said you had room in the boat, so interested in meeting an angler who can go adhoc. txt 970-231-9383 should yo want to connect.

That's a serious upgrade over my boat, Icebuster. Not entirely sure mine is safe for two people, but I think I finally got the leaks fixed.
I'm closer to Texas than Loveland, but get up that way once or twice a year.
Happy to host if you ever get down south. Might even cook a few of these on the tailgate.
