Need Auger Blades Sharpened

Post By: johnski      Posted: 2/19/2022 7:47:49 AM     Points: 5460
Well just got back from an adventurous trip to ice fish North Dakota. And in the process, I managed to find a gravel bottom below 40 inches of ice and destroyed my 8 inch Ion Auger blades. (Fortunately the Bait Shop had replacements which saved my bacon!). So question to our group, does anyone know of anyone who re-sharpens Ion Auger blades?

OUCH!!!!
Just how bad are you talking? My Niles can only be sharpened by one guy in the country, even Niles recomend him . .Have you tried getting in touch with Ion?

I wish I could find the info of the guy I used to send them to in Michigan but lost it years ago.

Since then I've just bought new ones for my 8" Ion, they cost only about $40 and last me at least 2 seasons.

I can understand stand if you have expensive blades or like a nils head.

I wish I could help better

I think new blades is the way I shall go. I doubt a machine shop could do the work any cheaper than the $40 for a few set. Thanks for the hlp.
