Caught my second ever Channel Catfish on the fly! This time I was fishing for Crappie and Bass at Pella Crossing at it took my fly. Made a short you tube video on my cell if anyone is interested in checking it out.
[log in for link] Conditions at pella seem like we are in some kind of fall turnover. The visibility is down in the first two ponds from its normal several feet of clarity to about two feet. Maybe that helped with the catfish? Not sure. I only had 30 min to fish so the Catfish was my only catch but I had a few Bluegill try to get my fly, but it was a little large to hook them.
