Fish Are Fired Up

Post By: bharper      Posted: 5/3/2021 11:40:45 PM     Points: 238
I finally got out to fish after pinching a nerve in my neck and doing some side work.I hit a new section in the River last week where I started off well landing 7 fish in a 100 yd stretch.I then drove a mile west to another area and walked 2 miles down the River.I found a deeper trough type hole where I threw my 3/16 oz Black/Golden Brown Marabou Jig in and stuck a nice chunky Bow on the edge of the hole.I pitched out twice more and stuck another healthy Bow! I ended up catching 40 but lost 20 fish with hooks being throw, fish jumping off,and a few other smarter bigger fish.🤬
On my way back to the truck I stuck my best Brown on a Berkley Hit Stick Jerkbait(Sunset84) just 20 yds up from the Bows that I caught earlier! The little ones even fought valiantly.

You definitely picked the right time to get out. Fired up is right. I've been on a 6 day fishing binge. I have a bad habit of driving down 50 miles of river to go to the lake. The Arkansas looked great yesterday & I didn't see a soul out there. Lakes seem to be crowded even during the week. I'll have to give the bass a break and try to catch up on trout.

Thx Barnacles! I’ve fished the Arkansas a couple of times on my way to the front range! I would like to do it again soon! They’re working on the Highways over here which included losing my best spot for the whole year!🥵
So I’ll be making a few road trips this year!
Go get ‘em!🎣👍
