Was wondering if anyone has an ice report for Rifle gap? With this warm weather this weekend im thinking maybe a camping/ice fishing trip up here and wanted to make sure i had ice to go on. Thanks

Well i dug around a little and found the state park website hasnt been updated since Dec, but did manage to find an update on a Sportman's warehouse website from 2/28 saying ice was 8-12 thick but to bring a plank as the edges are getting soft

Similarly, ice is still good at Crawford, but edges are getting soft and water is rising. With the next warm spell looming, it will likely take an extension ladder to get out on the ice in another day or two. I was out there today and perch bite was steady, but fish are still mostly 4-5 inch dinks.

Ice is 10-15”, edges are getting soft and there is a bit of water on the ice as they are filling the lake. Fishing has been slow except for trout, they’re always biting on RG. Target deep water (30-40ft) for perch, the bite is slow but if you can stay on top of them you might catch the biggest perch of your life! Good luck and be safe out there!
