Flushable open water?

Was thinking of taking the girlfriend out to Aurora for the first time, but not to keen on ice fishing with the warm temps we’ve been having (I personally don’t mind but the lady does). I saw on the last report there was open water on the west side.

Does anyone have anymore info regarding whether or not you might be able to fish it, and where on the west side specifically? We’d be throwing nightcrawlers and maybe spoons if we’re bored.

YD - c''mon man,, you and I both know, that even if it was flushable.. you'd fish it and I would cast across your line so you don't catch one before I do.

Technically it IS flushable, as it is the city of Aurora's water supply! Sorry, couldn't resist that.

I've not been by there recently enough to tell you, but before the cold snap there was quite a bit of open water. Sadly it will cost you admission to find out most likely, unless someone puts up a report.

I think I'm looking forward to spring now....
