35+ years no fishing, that changed today

Can you imagine not fishing for over 35+ Years?!?!?!?!?! I (Tyler) would probably go insane 😂😜

Samantha's mother hasn't been fishing in roughly 36-37 years, but that changed very recently! She braved the cold and went out with Sam to do a YELLOW PERCH CATCH AND COOK ON THE ICE!! It was a bit of a grindy day but they caught a few small eaters and had a really good time.

Sam unfortunately was the only one to catch any fish, all on a small 1/16oz tungsten jig (orange) with live waxworms.

With the weather really heating up and ice fishing probably being close to over in a month or so (at least for us), we figured to add in some bonus content at the end of the video of some warm weather fishing. The content is from early fall of 2020!!

Hope you all enjoy!🎣🎣🎣

Sure looks like fun. I can't go 7 days without fishing. I get grumpy.

Sam said they both had a really great time out there...Sam's mom wasn't properly prepared for attire but she did well regardless haha...I'm in the same boat as you, if I don't go at least once a week, i'm upset lol.

She really enjoyed it and I believe that was the first time she has ever had fried perch!! Hard to not want to go again after tasting that lol

Cool! I don't have a lot of experience, although I like fishing, hunting, rafting, etc. I often look at this information on the site [log in for link]
A lot of interesting things.

Sam said it was fairly slushy. With this weather over here on the Western Slope, seems like everything is getting slushy.

Nice job Sam! I was at HG with a buddy the other day and fished near where you were. We marked fish continuously right on the bottom in 27 fow, but the bite was really slow. The two of us caught 2 fish in 4 hours.

There should be a few colder nights over the next days and the slush should freeze up on the mid elevation lakes if we do not get a lot of snow. However, the higher lakes are getting a fair amount of snow and I would not be surprised to see the slush continuing up there.
