Grinding the Bite with Bron, Goosehunter, and Blake

Post By: Team CO.F.F.      Posted: 1/5/2021 4:15:39 PM     Points: 42
Got out with Bron, Goosehunter, and Bron's son Blake this past Sunday at Officer's Gulch Pond. Was good to finally put the face to the name so to speak. This site was chosen because Sam(GF) hasn't gotten a tiger trout yet and really wants one...We showed up around 7AM and jumped into a grinder for the morning.

Ice was about 12" thick and on top of that, a thick layer of slush/water that made for a cold feet experience lol. Weather was nice overall though with minimal wind and mostly sunny conditions, once it crept over the giant peak looking over the pond. This made for some nice drone shots, as the area is really gorgeous!!!

It was a grinder but we managed to get some fish, with Cisco being the most successful on the day with 5 or 6 fish. All fish caught were Brookies except for a Tiger that was caught by Cisco before the rest of us got there. Everyon with electronics marked fish ALL MORNING, just couldn't get them to bite...

It was a fun time getting to know the people we went with and can't wait to go fishing with them again...UNFORTUNATELY, No Tiger for Sam on this one...Going to have to start a running bet on when she will get one lol.

Thanks again Bron, Goosehunter, and Blake for taking us out to fish some new water...Grindy days are part of fishing and we had fun regardless!!

***Sidenote, I sprung a leak in my boots shortly after you guys left and we left about 30 minutes after you guys did lol.

Nice job on the video Tyler! We had a great hanging out with you guys for sure! Looks like you have a pretty cool method on making a slush dam around your fishing hole...wish I caught on to that sunday. Really look forward to the next trip!

Thanks Curtis! It was a fun time despite the grind, next time we'll get em...Haha ya just pack it down with me knees and overtime it freezes solid. Late ice i usually just wear snow shoes to avoid it. Can't wait to get into some carp this summer and trout elsewhere!!

It was a fun time and we're always open to fish with others. I had a lot of time off the past few weeks so it was easy for me to schedule trips. The tigers really don't like my GF lol.
