Good Way to end 2020! PB Brown (I think)

Post By: Team CO.F.F.      Posted: 12/31/2020 2:41:16 PM     Points: 42
This was a good way to end 2020! I went out recently to do some fishing after dropping the GF off at work in the morning...I planned on just fishing and not recording, but when I got to the water something told me I should get the camera gear out...

Glad I did, landed into some really nice trout, including what I estimate to be my PB Brown. I was thinking it was 22.5 - 24" but couldn't confirm exactly as all my measuring stuff was at home with my ice fishing gear😫😫

All fish caught on the same lure, HD Brown Trout from Dynamic lures...The HD Brown is my GO-TO when targeting Brownies, and has been for over a year now. They love to eat their own I guess.

Hope you guys enjoy the video and have a good time tonight bringing in the new year! 2021 will be better!!

Sweet! Congrats on that Beauty! Was the River Icy? Is the shoreline icy? How was the Colorado as far as ice?
It looks like the diversion area by the bridge spot? 😜🏆🎣

Whoa, some real beauts. I wonder what the two big browns would have weighted before the spawn, surely they would have been pushing 5 lbs. Gotta luv those HD lures.

Awesome as always. I cant tell you how many times I have driven up to Glenwood and not fished! All I get is kink in my neck from spying some great water.

I laughed when you said you were not even going to film this and then you caught that beautiful brown. Nice job!

Sorry for the late reply Harper, been busy as can be since posting this. The river luckily wasn't very icy, it was a warm(ish) day and most of the ice was off of the main river. Some of the sides were icy but nothing too bad. This was on the fork of course. I went down to the confluence and the Colorado looked fine. The past two days it has looked pretty icy though.

Thanks man! I would bet pushing 5 too, these guys were pretty long and skinny. Wish I would've gotten them prespawn haha. I have a whole tackle box just dedicated to them, they always produce for me!

Next time you're there you gotta try out the water on the Colorado or the Fork, or both...So many nice fish! Lol I get the same way, still a lot of water around there I haven't fished!

Haha glad I chose to film. Would've been a sad camper if I chose not to.

I was very fortunate to get him. This spot usually produces big rainbows and cutbows for me, the browns I've gotten in the past have only been around 9-14" before. Appreciate the kind words man!!
