Making generalizations might be a bad idea when it comes to early ice, but my experience suggests the ice on Tarryall and the ice on Antero follow pretty much the same pattern. If people are fishing Antero, then there's probably about the same quantity/quality of fishable ice on Tarryall too.
If you stick to the North end, you should be fine. I was there on the 1st and found 9" at one of my regular spots. With that being said, a third of the lake was open water when we got there, and half was open by the time we left. It's freezing in a pattern I haven't seen before, but the north end is frozen all the way across. Take a spud bar if you don't want to stay on the north end.
A buddy just left 11 Mile and had 5 inches on cross creek, he was at Antero before 11 Mile and fished on 7 inches of ice at North Boat ramp. Now those are not Tarrryall but it's south park to say the least.

We fished the first pull off on Turner Gulch near the dam last weekend. We were on 7' of ice. Mid lake from the boat ramp out was still open water. There are areas that had skim ice also. Inlet area was being iced two weeks ago, not sure how the ice is over there but there were lots of fisher people out.
