Not much happening

Tried Sandpiper on Tues. afternoon with no luck. There were a number of others giving it the good ole college try, at the same time and I did not see a single fish caught. As a matter of fact, I did not see anyone react as if they'd had a strike. Some were using bait, some hardware and some trailing flies behind a bubble. There must not have been a stocking of the place in some time.

Thanks Ajax. Makes me feel really good that I can't even catch fish in a stocked pond. Of course, it doesn't say how many were stocked so maybe it was 10 or 15. Ha! Just joking.

Sometimes they just aren't in the mood to cooperate! Happens to the best of us!

They eat pellets that look like dog food for most of their life at the hatchery, try some of that on a hook next time hahaha

Did you check the water temp ? Was out there the last 2 Sat . And flat hammered them. 2 weeks ago I was the only one out there during those gale force winds “ fishing the front”. I was getting bit about every 3-4 casts. Last week the water temp had dropped some. Enough to where the fish were cold enough that they would still strike a lure , but not hard enough to stay pinned. Still did well , but lost 3 fish for every one landed. My guess is that the water temp has gotten low enough . And the fishes metabolism has slowed enough .Their gonna start looking for itsy bitty baits moving real slow. Just my guess .
