FOUND GOOD ICE! First Ice of the season

Post By: Team CO.F.F.      Posted: 11/24/2020 1:36:45 PM     Points: 42
Found some good ice up on Grand Mesa above 10K...Roughly 10.2-10.3...Ice conditions were good and the lake we hit was great. Fished on a solid 5" and had a great time out slamming slimers! The morning was a comfortable High 20's to low 30's with mostly sunny skies and low wind😃 With the weather being so agreeable, comfortable ice, and a very active bite we couldn't have asked for a better first outing of the season!

Got some fun camera angles of the catches, some drone shots of the area, and some fun underwater releases through the ice! Hope you guys enjoy!!

*As always be safe out there everyone...We explain all our safety shpeel in the intro of the video, but never go alone and bring all the proper safety equipment.
**I met a gentlemen out on the ice the day before this video when I was scouting, he was out there in a t-shirt and jeans with NO SAFETY Equipment whatsoever...I asked him how the ice was, he said he measured and was fishing on 3" and was in the middle of the lake😫😫. I know this lake depth and he was in about 20 feet of water...Foolish.

First ice, I'm sure it feels good to have success right away. Nice video as usual, now I'm getting the bug to break out the ice gear.

Sittin' here thinking about ice fishing and you guys gave me a much needed fix. I looked at the weather for the next week and I am betting that Island will be ready in a few days, at least on the east end unless we get a big wind. I will definitely be up there checking it out soon. Good advice on the safety precautions. There is a spring hole on the east end of Island Lk and if there is snow on the ice, it is not easy to spot.

Haha glad to hear man! When I was up there recording this episode on Saturday, the East side was freezing up but still mostly exposed. Let me know if you head up there again soon! We're heading up tomorrow morning. I've heard of that hole from others...Glad I have a spud bar! Hope to see you up there one of these times...If you see a drone flying around, you can bet I'm near by.
