Went up to Carter yesterday, getting there about 9am. Not a lot of people, and spacing was good. Ended up on the southwest shore, off a point, and between my nephew (7), myself, and my buddy, ended up with just north of 20 fish, most between 14" and 17" with my nephew catching the biggest at just over 21". Kept 8 for a little smoker action, most meat was orange/pink with the bigger ones lighter. Also bigger ones were probably brood fish just released as they were still full of eggs. PB was best with Tequila Fire, and Chartreuse being successful as well. Hardly a breeze, good fishing, and bluebird skies will be hard to come by in the next few months, so this was a day to enjoy.
