Fall Pike - Recommendation

Post By: Artsy      Posted: 10/8/2020 9:13:37 AM     Points: 315
Looking to go chase some early fall Pike. I'm thinking of Williams fork or Taylor Park. They're both long drives for a day trip, so I'd like to make the most of it.

I've never been to either one this late in the year so I'm reaching out to you guys/gals for any recommendations...Thanks in advance!

I would fish the weed beds at 11 Mille in the late afternoon on a breezy day. It takes a lot of persistence but you should be able to get into one if you are willing to work at it. I posted a video of pike fishing there last week. Let me know if you have any questions.

I would go to Taylor Park if only to avoid all the fires and smoke in the area of williams fork. Taylor park is a beautiful spot and the fishing can be awesome.

I've been at Eleven Mile the past two weekends and have had some nice success. Not a ton of pike, but good quality (biggest was 36"). The hot lure has been trolling the weed lines just west of Witchers with Rainbow patterned Husky Jerks. Speed is the key, anywhere between 1.8 and 2.2 seems to be the ticket.

Tight Lines!

Thanks for recommendations guys. 11 mile would sure be a closer trip. I haven't been to either Williams Fork or Taylor this year. Just want to get into some good pike.
