As some of you know...I'm really excited for Fall Fishing. It's basically full on Autumn up at the higher elevations so I've been up there a lot. Had an incredible day with my team landing lots of good size Cutthroat trout...I did a half/half day of conventional fishing and Fly fishing.
REPORT: Conventional fishing - HD Trout of various patterns working great, especially the Gold Natural. 2" Micro minnow got one as well...Panther martins still doing great too...Live Worms got some fish but live worms always get some fish haha.
Fly Fishing - Dropper hopper rig was great. 2x Nymphs. Size 12 Chernobyl Ant (got lots of action) of course for the dry fly. First nymph was a size 16 scud (got lots of action, and my terminated nymph was a size 14 chromamid, black with a white head, That got me my now PB on the fly and took almost 14 minutes to get in. No idea about chromamids and their life cycle but it's gotten some big fish for us recently, most have broken off.
Hope you guys enjoy the video! Got some fun catches on film, got some great shots of the lake and Grand Mesa for the fall colors, and overall just had a blast out there! Tight lines everyone!
