FALL FISHING is HERE!

At least it is up above 10K! As much as we've all enjoyed this absurdly hot weather and drought this year (Sarcasm), I welcome the cooler weather and the fishing that comes with it!!

Recently was up at around 10.5K fishing for big brown trout and big cuttys. The team and I had good success and lots of failures lol. Remy and I both had MA Browns break us off, site FLY fishing them in the shallows Remy's did a full jump out of the water as well! We got some great drone shots of the area we were fishing at sunset, the colors look great. We were also camping up there but only touched on that lightly as the fire ban and cold weather at night didn't make for much of any content haha.

Lots of bites on the flies but couldn't get them in...all our landed fish were on HD trout lures (Ghost cutthroat and Brown Trout) or live worms. Fun underwater release shots on most of the fish too!

Hope you guys enjoy the video if you get the time!!

Got to say this. I have been to nearly every lake on the Grand mesa that has any potential for fish, per what CPW puts out, but I have never seen that secret lake of yours with the big tigers and cutties. No lake that is supposed to have (per CPW) tiger trout on the Grand Mesa looks even somewhat like your secret lake. I have heard years ago of lakes that had no name and were not on the map that had great fishing, but I have never found any truth to it. Is that lake really on the Grand Mesa?

Nice Catches!
Hopefully, you enjoy your visite. Whenever we are going fishing The weather Condition was not good for fishing and we are unable to catch a lot of fish.

Got busy at work and went fishing right after, had an epic evening but i'll save that for another day...There is a small handful of lakes up there that have some big ones that we know of, I don't think any of them are secret though. Some are hard to get too though...I have heard rumors of that myself but am not sure of the truth of it. We have several old timer friends that have been fishing up there since the late 70's. Lots has changed and the stories are as depressing to hear as they are awesome but never heard of any "secret" lakes.

shhhhhhhhhh😜😜 Ya I know, most won't though at least! Some of the spots we hit are pretty hard to find too.

Thanks man, it was a great day up there and a fun way to end camping for 2020. We've definitely been apart of some bad weather experiences up there, we pack parkas and a bunch of extra layers though...It can get scary in the winter up there deep though. Hope next time the elements are kinder to you!
