Late Summer Largemouth

Post By: bharper      Posted: 9/17/2020 2:39:37 PM     Points: 262
I finally got out to do some bass fishing with the recent drop in temps! It was a fairly slow day considering the darker smokey skies.First hour was slow with only seeing one fish due to lack of cover in a really low water Reservoir! I remembered back in 2012 this Reservoir was really low due to a drought! I caught my first Colorado Bass here during this time on an exposed tree in the water that you can only see under these low water conditions. So I pitched a 5 senko next to this tree and on the second pitch I hooked this 18 Largemouth! I only caught one 15 Rainbow the rest of the day on a small crankbait but I lost an approximate 3-4+ lb Bow on the same crank late in the day!

WOW! It really is low...Was thinking of hitting that place up soon too. Solid catches though man! My PB Rainbow is actually out of there, caught it on the ned rig when I was SMB Fishing by the SE Creek that flows in there.

COFF- 🤫 Not my PBs but I caught these two Bows(4 total) on a crankbait and my friend caught a 4 lb Bow (the last pic) out of there around this time last year on a Zara Spook!

Good bass. The guy I went fishing with yesterday caught one just like that a week ago in that same spot. There are still some good ones in there. Got some new Ned rigs and drop shot stuff I need to try out. Thanks for the report.

AWB, that pattern/color is lights out. That a lipless crank or a squarebill type of lure?

THANK YOU! That pattern was painted by my buddy Bassackwards. It is painted on a Mann's Baby 1-Minus blank.

I intend to make a video of just that one lure from my trip to TX.

If you're interested in his work, reach out to me on my editor link and I'll forward your email to him.
