Itís Brown Time!

What a difference a cool front and an inch of rain makes, along with near freezing night temps. The browns think itís fall. They are in pre-spawn and starting to get more aggressive. I fished the same two places on the Gunnison as 3 weeks ago. Same time of the morning, 6:30 to 10:30. I found over twice as many browns using the same 3 jigs while adding a Yo-Zuri Pins Minnow and an X-Rap in perch color. They seemed to attack all of them about the same. Nothing big this trip, mostly 14-16Ē clones with a few bigger. Whether is the Gunny, the Green, the Rio Grande or the Colorado, the browns are calling your name!

Nice report Jerry! Looking forward to getting a big Brown? Weíve been catching more Browns lately but the bigger Bows are still the highlight for us. Chet and I both lost a big Bow(20Ē+) the last time out! I got a good look at mine losing it within 10 ft of me! I hooked mine using a Dynamic JSPEC(Firecraw)! It slammed it hard in the strong current! The Crappie/Marabou Hair Jigs still dominate the bite! Hope to see you out there someday? 🎣👍🍻
