Fishin' the front?

Post By: ass bass or cash      Posted: 9/6/2020 12:03:04 PM     Points: 1993
Any else else planning to fish ahead of this cold front? Might make things interesting with such a rapid change so early on. Might be a good time to go out when most people are wrapping it up tomorrow afternoon/evening. If you do, let us know how you did.

I'll start early (sun rise) and fish till noon or one at the latest.

Same as HP, fish until noon or so then put the boat in the barn.

Bite was good early for panfish but no hits at all on cat/carp baits. Got a couple turtles though. After 10 nothing was biting.

We got some nice carp today at chatfield. When it blew in tho it was crazy. One second calm and nice. Next second pop up canopy totally busted. Managed 9 carp 3 trout and 2 perch. Not a crazy day but last one was 15 lbs and 33.

A10FLYR wow! Guess I'll stop wining about this little bit of ash raining down on my freshly cleaned boat!

You all did better than me. I got the skunk at my favorite honey hole that always produces a couple LMB at the least. Fished from 5pm until 8 and it was dead calm, no fish activity at all. Tried everything in my bag of tricks to no avail..The temp dropped from 93 to 67 during that time. Felt nice to get out though!

I fished a couple of places before the snow rolled in out east. I caught a good amount of smallies, but the drum and the carp were aggressive for me as well actually eating lures. I enjoy pre-storm fishing and usually have my best fishing of the year.
