Weeds at Spinney/Antero?

Post By: panfishin      Posted: 8/24/2020 9:47:33 AM     Points: 8397
I'm looking at heading up and hitting both at the end of the week from my kayak, Thursday and Friday. Looking at the reports i'm seeing that Spinney is really low and Antero seems to be fairly normal. How has the weed growth been at both lakes? Are they really thick creating big weed lines or are they more scattered and not quite at the surface?

I haven't been up to either since May or June and the weeds were barely kicking when I was last up there.

Typically Antero has a lot of weeds in late August and they can be all over the place. Some giant clumps float around -moving with the wind. I have not been up this year but I would guess they are bigger this year due to the heat and blazing sun. I typically start going up there in mid to late October which helps. Not as familiar with Spinney but I have heard its really low also.
