I've taken vacation at Osage Beach on Lake of the Ozarks a few times and boy let me tell you, when its a holiday weekend that lake is terrifying to be on. Jetski or huge house boat it doesn't matter. Its similar to the videos you see of intersections in India. Mad Max but on water lol

Somebody who could do something like that, yet still survived 55 years before doing it.

He cheated death a good long time. My hat's off to him.

Did they change the article? What "crazy things" did he do and how did he "cheat death"?

The way I read the article, he left the anchor out and took off in the boat. I know plenty of folks that have done that unintentionally, which is what I am assuming happened here? What am I missing?

As an aside, it says that this is the 2nd death at the lake this year. I would expect much more than that with as busy as the lake is.
