Canít seem to find a recent report on Blue Mesa. Heading there this weekend and will Report conditions when I get back. I would think the water level would be lower than last year based on winter snow pack.
Lake is 30 feet low. People are attempting to jig for salmon, very tough Trout fishing is good trolling near surface for rainbows, 30-60 for browns and 60-120 for pup lakers. Perch are abundant and in nearly every shallow cove around the whole lake
Fished Blue Mesa this weekend for perch. GS Outfitters gave good information that they would be in the coves. Numbers were good but finding any with size was a bit of a challenge. Guys at the cleaning station had pretty good success jigging for Kokes. They said the schools were harder to find than last year but they could be found. Great weekend...looking forward to perch fish tacos!
