Incredible River Fishing on Fathers Day

Post By: Team CO.F.F.      Posted: 6/30/2020 1:20:10 PM     Points: 57
Sam and I took my father out on Father's Day to do some fishing! He had found a new spot to hit on the river and had been itching to get back there. Couldn't have asked for a better afternoon!!

The spot was incredible with a big, fast, white water...The side current was ideal and lots of big trout were hanging out in that. Also caught a couple really nice ones in a few seams right after the white water! The current was strong so the fights were all really tough Sam had a cutbow that took over 6 minutes to get in and almost stripped her reel clean of line😲!

It was such an insane time, as all 3 of us landed some really good ones in several hours time! Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, and A LOT of Cutbows!! We even got a catch on drone footage haha! Hope you all enjoy and had a good weekend!

Nice catches! The JSpec and the HD Trout almost always produces quality Trout!🎣🍻🤙

Very nice fish and good fishing. I used the Petestroutworm fire tiger pattern in a similar looking run on the Gunnison this am and caught some nice cutbows. I got zero on the HD Trout and J Spec at the same run, which kind of surprised me. I have been having a lot of fun with the little paddle tails in all kinds of water. Thanks for the heads up about them.

After finding out about those lures 2 years ago, I haven't gone back...Rapala, Smithswick, etc. just don't come close to comparing...Before we started the channel we would constantly go out and use different lures to try and compare and the HD Trout/J-Spec won 99/100 times it seemed! I had my dad try them and he only uses those now lol.

I didn't even consider throwing the paddletail, I should've though...Just was caught up in the HD Glory I guess lol...Glad they've been working out for you though, that's really cool to hear!! They work REALLY well for Grayling too! Hope you've been using my code so you get a discount on all your purchases from his site!!😀🎣

Haha I do too! I'm 32 and wish I would've started doing more fishing then! But I think i'll still be like my dad in his late 60's, chasing lures out in the middle of the river lol😂😂
