Golden trout

Anybody know if there's still any golden trout (or fish at all, for that matter) in Old Dillon Reservoir?

Yesterday I tried Old Dillon for about 2 hours. No fish - No takes either. I could count on one hand the number of rises that I saw during that time. A few weeks ago I contacted Jon Ewert about Old Dillon and please see below:

Unfortunately, the experiment at Old Dillon with the Goldens has played itself out and we recently stocked some cutthroat fingerlings there instead. I stocked Goldens there on four occasions and the only group that survived was the first one. The subsequent three batches of fish we stocked just disappeared. So we'll see how the cutthroats do. Old Dillon didn't turn out to be the productive fishery that I was hoping it would be after it was rebuilt. The water always has this cloudy look to it as if there is suspended material that never settles out. I think that diminishes the overall productivity of the lake. Not much in the way of plant growth has ever taken off, and therefore not a lot of bug diversity either. I was hoping for some emergent plants around the edges, damselflies, etc. like you might find at a productive natural lake at that elevation.

Thanks again.
