Quick update on Jmart

Lake is low but had a good day fishing. 19 hand sized gills, 8# and 3 pound carp and a 3# drum all on light tackle. Then last night a 7# wiper, 12#, 7# and a 3# catfish. Co ed 19 boat ramp at least 1/2 mile to the water. Hot and windy so far will post full update when we get home.

I had my bobber set at about 2 foot and was catching them
They were sticking close to brush till the carp and bass came through but would come back a short time later.
I gotta say it's a rush when the bobber takes off and pulling drag lol.

Keep these reports coming!! I plan to go see the father in law for the July 4th weekend and he lives about 2 minutes from Jmart. I have fished it a couple times and have loved every minute of it - very cool lake with several species that we are not use to catching. Walleye and wiper are two fish at the top of my bucket list that I REALLY want to catch. Hoping that will be my time....

What bait were you using for the blue gill (haven't caught those since I was a kid in Ohio)? And for the catfish are yall fishing the bottom?

Was using worms for the gills and using the gills on the bottom for the cats and wipers.
