Anybody fish the boat ramp off co rd 19 at John Martin?

Going down to JM for a week and was thinking about fishing around the co rd 19 boat ramp. Will be on the bank and one rod for sure out for cats but want to play with the other fish with the second rod.

Hi Phidoux-
I suggest using minnows under a bobber for your second rod.
Experiment with different lengths between your bobber and hook from 12” to 2 1/2’ depending on water depth where you fish.

you can definitely catch catfish around there. and if you have a second rod stamp fish with a lure while your waiting and you could end up catching a nice largemouth. be wary of snags no matter if your bait fishing or using a lure.

I went by the boat ramp to take a look and all I saw was ground and brush for what looked like 1/2 mile

you need a boat ,kayak or a willingness to wade in that area . the whole inlet end of john martin is brush
