Big Trout during HIGH Runoff. (MA)

With it being HIGH RUNOFF time for Colorado, it isn't the most optimal time to go hit the rivers due to turbulent high water and terrible water clarity. With that being said, you can still get good fish if you find the right water to fish! Just like any river fishing, it's about identifying water!

We got out a week ago and had great success, hitting calm pockets, pools, seams, and side currents off of the main current. We got 4 species of trout, including Rainbow, Brown, Snake River Cutty, and a gorgeous Master Angler Colorado River Cutthroat! In the video we discuss what we did to land them as well.

It was a really fun day out on the water with the team and the weather was outstanding! Got some really nice drone shots of the South Canyon area and Hogback Mountains too! Hope you enjoy the video if you have time!

It really is! When the water levels return to normal, you're usually fishing about 20 feet in front of those pillars in the video. The other side that had more of a ripping current, turns to a nice deep calm pool with a beach. Glad you enjoyed the catches!! 😃
