First walleye! I think....

Walleye are my nemisis, but i think i caught my first one today. Ive maybe tried 7 times total targeting walleye specifically. So when i realed this in i first thought it was a perch because of its size (and we caught a perch this size last week in the same spot) but when i got it in my hands on it i got super excited because i think its a walleye. Its a small one but ill take it. Please tell me this is a walleye?

Caught a dozen rainbows before i got this little one.

So if i was catching rainbows, and trolling BBs where were the walleye do you think? In a different location, deeper, not biting? I was catching the bows in about 15-18 feet. Asked around and everyone was only catchimg bows it sounded like.

Yup.. those are perch.

Typically if I am catching trout. I pull all the gear in and move to another part of the lake. Rarely do I find them hanging together.

Where you were at seems to be more trout and possibly white bass. West side of the lake produces more eyes for me. Both on the north half and the south. South west can be a trout fest though.

At least you caught some fish! Keep after it.

Ah man, i was hoping since this guy didnt have any colors to him. The stripes though made me nervous. The perch we caught last week was just an inch or two larger but had the orange fins that were really pernounced.
