You Had One Job

Post By: Infrared      Posted: 5/16/2020 5:55:30 PM     Points: 11
All you had to do was show up and open the gate a half hour before sunrise this morning. But no. There was a line of vehicles and boats stretching almost back to the blacktop before someone finally showed up to open the gate at 6:25 a.m. Anyways, I got a got decent sunrise pic while I waited with the 50 or so other vehicles in the queue. Note for future reference when the inspector doesn't show up for work on a Saturday morning: Listen to the Park voicemail options, then call Gene's number at the end.

Not the first time and not the last time.

One job that is a problem also is positioning the dock.
Was there over a week ago on a week day. The wind came up of course and your boat was about to get blown onto the dock it was so low.

Infrared,

I'm gonna call this Gene guy to find out why the breakwater STILL isn't in place, and why they don't open the South Ramp!

Gene's number is 719-748-8106

Itís funny . . . Iíve been lots of other places at opening time . . . King Soopers, Home Depot, the bank, and lots of other private enterprises . . . and they are always able to open on time. The State, on the other hand, charges us for access to what it says is our land and then denies us access. To top it off, we are supposed to be grateful when they finally show up to open the gate.

I would bet it is a rare occurrence and I have only had a couple bad experiences with state wildlife people.

Yes the wave barrels not being out in an ongoing and yearly frustration. Its going to cause major problems/injury/damage when the thunderstorms start to pop and all the hordes of people head for the ramp.....Ridiculous that the South ramp is out of function with all the barrels piled up around it.
Here is a pic of the North Bay on Sunday... the most crowded I've ever seem it in all these years..

THE WAVE-BREAKS ARE IN PLACE AT THE NORTH RAMP,!!

Hopefully the south ramp will open this weekend, making Spinney safe again for boating!!
