Odd fish in the Thompson

Post By: JosiahHD      Posted: 4/12/2020 3:26:50 PM     Points: 0
Two days ago I caught a mess of fish below Drake in the Thompson River. One of the trout I caught looks like it could be a Colorado Greenback, but I think it's just a cutbow.

Can anyone give me a proper identification?

Thanks!

That's a rainbow trout. If it has any cutthroat genetics in it, it is not much.

Given the look of the dorsal fin and body shape, this one looks like it was stocked from a hatchery.

It looks like a rainbow, possibly raised in the river due to the par marks on the sides, orange colored fins and the tail shows no signs of wear. Could be a stocked one also but hard to tell for sure, where is fishseal?
