Mr. Philbert, My buddies and I were there yesterday morning and the fishing was very good. The road leading to the lake is in bad shape but other than that it was a great time with my friends. We got there very early in the morning and the fish were really biting. I hope this helps. Take care, Roy. God is good.

Mr FishingBB, It all depends on how good of shape your rig is in. If you really take it slow you might be o.k. There is another camp ground before you get to the main entrance called Springdale and you would avoid most of the rough road issues. I hope this helps. Take care, Roy
Roy boy, thanks so much for the info. Or rig is in good shape, but we like to keep it that way. was the rough road specifically to rampart reservoir or to thunder ridge campground? I believe we're going down county road 306, is that where the issues are? We have reservations at thunder ridge and don't want to take any chances on not finding a spot. Thanks again
I was there early this morning. The road is heavily wash boarded in spots. I did see a motorhome and several long trailers on the road doing ok. Just going slow. I only fished for a couple hours and landed and released two fish around 12". Super clear water. Kastmaster was my weapon of choice.

Mr. FishingBB, The road that is in bad shape is Rampart Range Rd. Road, 306 is paved. If you are coming From Woodland Park you will be on the bad part 4 miles. In my opinion coming back will harder than getting to the lake. I hope this gives you a little bit more information. Take care, Roy
