The boat/motor/trailer are free . . . . .now the money pit starts. Free translates to "it's too bad for me to repair and or I tried to sell it,but no one would pay for it and now the city/wife want it gone"

HP, I don't know what condition its in but free is free. Even a new boat is a money pit, along with upkeep and maintenance. It could be a starter boat for someone that cant afford a new one. Jeez was just trying to help. Thanks for your input, was very constructive.
Karosly . . . .there are free boats a few times a week on CLs free section. The boats are trash and most end up in the dump. The trailers end up being converted to cargo trailers. If you surf the CL free section you will see the "free" boats and also see their condition is less than repairable . . . . .most have long since seen their usefulness come and go . . . . . .please don't take my word on this.Get on CL and do some homework for your self . . . .better yet . . . .when you get a free boat . . .start a new thread with pictures and a running tab on what you spend to fix it up. OK? BTW . . . .my neighbor is on his 6th or 7th free boat . . . . .not one has made it to the lake.
