Has anyone been up to joe wright or the cambers area. Was thinking of going after some grayling but i have no idea what the ice is like right now.

Last report for joe wright on 1-7-20 says 2’ of ice and 1 1/2’ of snow on top. Count on the ice being 6-12” inches thicker and another foot of snow on top of the ice. I’d imagine chambers has similar conditions this time of year from my experience. I’d highly recommend snowshoes if you go.

Last time I fished Joe Wright in the middle of Feburary I almost needed an auger extension. I would not be suprised if there is around 30" of ice. Makes it really difficult to move around.

Thanks guys! That’s about what I expected for Joe right at this time of year.

Last weekend’s snow was legit up there. Early this week the snow was up to my thighs and made for difficult moving. Slush was mild.
