Austin and I hit Blue's Ice for the first time in a couple years. His buddy from college met us as well. Slower day as we spent the best fishing hours looking for bigger lakers west of Elk Creek only to find one 19". Moved to about 1/4 mile from the "pole hole" near the lake city bridge. Ice is about 12-16" thick. There was no key depth. Caught fish from 18 - 40". Mostly small lakers in the 16-19" range and some really nice browns and rainbows around 17". I used my lucky ratfinke with shrimp on the tip, Austin used Dynamic ice lure and Ryan used his South Dakota spoon tipped with Sucker or Shrimp.
Was a GREAT day on the ice! We caught almost 30 fish between the 3 of us and only 2 were less than 15. Both nice 12-13" healthy browns. (No slimers this trip).
