Austin and I hit Blue's Ice for the first time in a couple years. His buddy from college met us as well. Slower day as we spent the best fishing hours looking for bigger lakers west of Elk Creek only to find one 19". Moved to about 1/4 mile from the "pole hole" near the lake city bridge. Ice is about 12-16" thick. There was no key depth. Caught fish from 18 - 40". Mostly small lakers in the 16-19" range and some really nice browns and rainbows around 17". I used my lucky ratfinke with shrimp on the tip, Austin used Dynamic ice lure and Ryan used his South Dakota spoon tipped with Sucker or Shrimp.

Was a GREAT day on the ice! We caught almost 30 fish between the 3 of us and only 2 were less than 15. Both nice 12-13" healthy browns. (No slimers this trip).

Nice report Terry. We have a weekend reprieve from granddaughter’ BB, VB and recitals, so I am thinking BM for the second time. Hard to leave those perch but 4 weeks in a row at Crawford n HG, need a change. Looks like SGM is still the Slimer King, was kinda thinking you might take it away,
Lol. Sounds like a great day, especially if you got away without donating a pole to the Bridge Troll!

Still laughing! No poles were harmed THIS time!

I was up there that day as well and had similar results. No big lakers wanted to play, but the small ones were out. The browns and bows were definitely willing to play, and the weather could not have been better. Great day to be out!

Sounds like good times for all. Glad you all got into fish. Looks like a proudly hold the slimer belt but that’s ok, means I’m catching fish. Headed up Thursday and again Saturday and Sunday. See you Saturday Diggins.
