Iíve itching to try Douglas Reservoir, I have never been there so I was hoping for some info for this ice season

I have only one thing to tell you.If you are in one spot with no marks in 10-15 min . . .MOVE!
It's a tough lake to learn.
BTW . . .it can get a bit windy all of a sudden!
The shore ice can go bad on you fast on a bright day.Have an extra exit strategy or two planed or be ready to get wet.

I fished it Sunday and probably 1/3 of the lake is open - still 5Ē of ice along the dam, but itís honeycombed a bit and not likely to get better this year. Iíd go up high if you still wanna scratch the icefishiní itch...
