Fish: Splake

3 Trout Species, First Splake

Was up on Grand Mesa a few days before X-Mas...The Team and I hit a lake at about 10,600ish feet. Ice was about 10-11" thick, with about 1 1/2 feet of snow above that. Had a pretty successful day landing into Brook Trout, some REALLY PRETTY Rainbow Trout, and also a few Splake!! We didn't realize they were Splake until video editing. We know now about the tail difference/identification...Is there any other concrete way of knowing the difference?

-Assassin - Thank you very much! I work hard to try and get good content to share to everyone! Was sort of bummed I couldn't use the drone that day but still glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for the support!! Hoping to get some bigger fish next time I go to that lake!
