Monsters on The Mile

Hi all. I frequently talk about the Mile and how it's my favorite place to fish. Even wrote a blog about it a couple years ago [log in for link] But thought maybe it's time to SHOW you what the Mile can be like. At the bottom you will find a link to my first video in a series of videos. I had gone in thinking one video would be enough. However, November was so good it will take more. Although these will only cover Nov 2019, these vids are a culmination of years of hard work to find what works. And believe me, even still I have plenty of days where I struggle there.

On the other hand, through these vids, you will see The Boss, my son, spicy "there's no fish in this pond" hombre, I2Fly, frigid-i-hole, xavierx, my friend Mark and some people that just simply saw the catching and tried to get close. lol

Nice video Jim. Iíll have to join you at the mile again. I had a fun day and got the long rod to bend several times. I certainly did appreciate the invitation to join you and the boss Steph. Plenty of fish in that area for sure. I love it when you go to a new spot a hook up right off the bat. Thanks...

Superb video. Thanks for sharing! That was my goal this past season to get back on the float tube, haven't soft watered fished in about 6yrs. This is definite motivation to make it happen next season. Thanks again

Great video, looks like you have them zeroed in for sure. Just one thing, I might suggest, you need a bigger longer handled dip net lol.

Nice fish! You need a bigger net... :)

I agree with the long handled net point.... lol.

Every one of the fish in the video are noteworthy trophy catches! Way to go Jim! You may need a gaff instead of a net if you get bigger ones.

Great video Jim! Just an incredible month of fishing and a joy to experience them with you and the gang. I had never caught so many giants in one day and over a couple weeks that month. It seemed like every fish was just huge! Absolutely the most epic days of fishing I've had there!

thanks again all! Glad you're enjoying it.

Spicy - I think just maybe you might be wrong? lol

Linh and Not To Old - I didn't get it on vid, but The Boss got one too big for the net.. at which point she announced, "We need bigger nets" lol Bear in mind, there isn't a lot of extra room on the float tube for large nets.

Nate - yep I leave my bloopers and failures in the vids.. figure we can all relate to it.

Thanks Curtis,, good stuff

Vinnie and Jeff - I take extensive notes after I get off the water. Have found it really helps in the future.

Thanks Lindsie, hope you don't mind.. but posting your video here from that same time. [log in for link] you guys should watch.

justwannacatch - the float tube is what made this possible. On my toon with the trolling motor I sometimes get impatient and move when I should be staying. The tube gets me off the shore so I can get to great spots, but I can't easily leave them to go across the lake.
