Chilly But Fun

Post By: bharper      Posted: 12/11/2019 10:58:22 PM     Points: 247
I fished the River today with my friend Chet! The flows were around 1000 with winter water levels higher than Iíve seen in a few years! Started off with some Sun but turned out to be mostly cloudy and chilly! I started my day off with the nicest fish of the day being my first fish that I caught on a Rapala Countdown presented on a slow crank 10 ft from shore! We caught a few on Crappie/Hair Jigs but the bite was still dominated by slow popping Jerkbaits(Dynamic Fire Craw and Brown Trout)! I ended landing 30 and Chet caught 23!

Those Gunnison browns come through with some cool colors at spawning time. Beauties, my favorites. You guys have some hustle.
