Slow and windy

We hit Blue on the day after Thanksgiving and did not do well. Using the typically successful method of jigs sweetened with mealworms, we tried Elk
Creek Marina, Bay of Chickens and middle bridge areas for a total of about 4 hours. Our take - two 14" browns. The wind, and later, the snow made it not a fun day. Maybe when the ice finally comes we'll give it another try.

At least no skunk. Did you get as far east as the Lake City Bridge? If so any ice forming?

SGM -- Yes, as we came in from Gunnison. There is ice above, or east of the bridge, but it does not look to be safe yet.

Hunter Creek, Thanks, I know where you mean. Has been like that for 3 weeks or so. Hopefully we can be on the ice in 2 weeks.

My Grandson and I jigged 4 spots ten days ago with only 5 landed. We lost at least 20 part or most of the way in. The fish are still lethargic like at turnover, just nipping tails. Normally this time of year is lights out. Hopefully ice season will get emí back in a more agressive mood, BM has been in a funk all year.
