Thinking about hitting Antero this week. Anyone have any intel on how thick the ice is? Safe to fish yet?

I too am very curious...mainly about S end..any noticeable pressure ridges to avoid? As always for early ice will be bringing spud bar, spikes, and floatation jacket

I didnít make it to the south side but by the north ramp there 6 inches of ice with the top half inch being white and the rest hard and clear.

Just posted a report. Antero was 4-6" on south side by dam Sat 12/2. Had one big ice quake which made everyone jump. We went about 100 yards off shore in 12-15 fow. Some areas are still spooky. Didnt notice any ridges running E to W, but saw two further out to the west that run north and south.

Iced Antero Tuesday. Slow action by dam on south side, very clear ice. I moved to south ramp area, and found a pressure ridge and some open water just at end of breakwater. Several fisherman reported the sunrise bite was better.
