I Found Some Ice!!

Post By: Mr. Fly Fisherman      Posted: 11/16/2019 5:17:00 PM     Points: 154
I saw that this lake had safe ice at the beginning of the month so I gave it a shot. I found around 10 inches of ice and the fishing was great. Landed about 20 Brook and Tiger Trout.

I'm pretty sure you were coming onto the lake as we were coming off. Were you fishing by yourself?

Yes I was.

Yup, saw you coming onto the ice. We were leaving just then, my friend's son was getting cold from the wind. We caught 8 I think before we headed out. Glad you got into them, other than the wind it was a fun day!

Did I miss where the lake name is or is it being "hush hush" for a reason?

If it is the latter then I get it, i'm just wondering if I missed something. Thanks!

I haven't ice fished a high altitude lake that you have to hike into. However I am dying to, just need some other gear, like a lighter auger to carry in lol

I appreciate the info!

I was at Saint Maryís. Itís a short hike but make sure you have ice cleats because the trail is very icy.

If you go, keep the brookies, let the tigers go!
