Just driving around the internet and found this info on Wild Horse from Aurora Water
Not sure if it will be in my lifetime but it looks like it's going to be a few miles from the cabin, Thoughts of a new trout lake, hope it happens soon.

Good read Bill. Still it sounds to be a ways out. Interesting to think a reservoir that size could be filled by a pipe. I wonder about depth too. Anyway itís cool to contemplate the eventual outcome. I2

fact sheet says target completion date is late 2020s...would be pretty cool to have another lake up there to grow big trout. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Thanks for the update!

It's possible this will be up to 96,000 acre feet, that's almost twice the size of Spinney @ 54,000 A/F

yea and if it looks anything like their initial map, there will be tons of small coves and fingers off of the main lake to fish. Would you want it to be stocked more like Antero, Spinney or Elevenmile?

Time will tell . . . .be ready to wait awhile . . .look how long RuderHess is taking to be opened to use.

I personally would love to see it as a trout lake similar to Spinney but without the Northern Pike, Time will tell, I also have a lot of faith in Jeff Spohns input as I believe heís done an excellent job with the South Park Lakes.
