Do you have a rod and reel you can donate?

Post By: anglerwannabe      Posted: 11/7/2019 2:22:49 PM     Points: 52425
Hi FxR. I have a young Air Force SSgt here where I work that would like to get into fishing here in Colorado and has zero gear. If any of you have a rod and reel combo you could donate that would be wonderful. He lives here in the Springs.

If you do have something, I can throw in some line and lures to get him started.

Jim, I'm fishing with HP on Saturday, I can grab what he has and either bring them to you or meet you halfway.

What kind of tackle are you looking for Jim? As you know I have rubbermaid totes too heavy to pick up full of tackle.

I could ship you some tackle Jim, and pair up Ciscos in the same box.

I can donate a couple of ice rods and a hand auger.

Awesome guys! Thank you

Shiv and HP - emails sent

Goose and Bron - that sounds like a great idea, if you two got together a couple things.

Kithme - I'll ask him what he thinks. Bear in mind he is a Southern guy and might well be skittish of ice!

Thank you all again for your support!

Well if he doesn’t get enough from these other folks. I have plenty to provide a start up outfit.

I'm a retired shirt, I'll buy him new stuff if he wants to go.

Jim, I have too much for me to ever use. Let me know what you need after the 1st round and I'll help out with whatever you need. I will always help someone that wants to get into anything in the outdoors. Greg

I'm willing to cover the cost of a fishing license. Gift certificates are available from CPW, so I could send one of those. Let me know if he needs a license, and how to send you the funds.
