A man of integrity to post this, well done. Now for a few more lakes to freeze up.

Yes, I now am sure I'm in the right place, no ice here except in the freezer.
You "Ice Folks" have a good time out there and remember two fish per person any size.

I didn't go to Antero today but the snow and ice along the shore of 11 Mile had pretty much all melted. Also this warm front will be here a few days. Is always better to be safe than sorry.

3.5 to 2.5 in as of nov 7 . pools and soft spots by 1pm . sketchy ice becomes a hazard once air warms into 40s . blown fuse on my sonar made my trip less productive but i found Fish and iced one 18in bow .

I think not.

When I fished the dam face yesterday, had about 3+” of ice, and getting off the ice at 4:30 was interesting due to the melting during the day. You could tell the ice had broken up and refrozen. There were also areas of open water especially near the expansion cracks. With this warm weather, I would caution anyone trying to ice it to use extra caution “reading” the ice.
As much as I love ice fishing, NO fish is worth risking your life for. Best to wait a couple more weeks to see how the weather goes.

P.S. droolr, was that you in the red shack west of the dam?

skiman - that was me in the red shack for most of the day. I moved about 40 yards or so further away from the dam for the last hour I was there. No bites further out to end the day, but I did get at least a dozen bites where I was at in the shack before moving further out. Fast, light bites today, to where by the time I set the hook I couldn't feel anything at all on the other end other than a couple of times. Only caught 1 16" bow. How'd you guys do?

We did OK. Iced 7, with several missed bites. All except 1 released to fight another day. Posted an update on conditions. Ski
