Night fishing?

Post By: Fisherguyd      Posted: 8/8/2019 8:23:10 AM     Points: 96
Which side is better for catfish at night? North or South? Taking my wife and her friend who both have never caught a catfish at night before, both a little disabled. One has Vertigo and the other is irrational, misunderstanding, illogical, sometimes hysterical, overreactive, demanding, you can probably tell which is which. Probably just needs her catfish fix! Anyway, no secret spots necessary, any info helps. Thanks

Click on Lake Loveland and read all the posts about the dredging and construction from earlier in the year. I doubt that the lake has had time to rebound but that is your call.

Also, if you click the drop down on Channel Catfish there is a post from last September that had a lot of replies to where to catfish up north.

I used to fish at the north west corner behind the fire station. Caught a lot of channel there, and they had a nice lawn to relax on.

Ended up going to North end and fished just North of swim beach. Wasn't there long before getting first bite, a half hour later my wife came over and knocked over my beer, we laughed and cried, then got another bite and before I could get to my rod(wedged in rocks), it came loose and all I could see is the light glistening off the wake of my 'Torpedo like' rod as it sped off into the darkness! Then we laughed and cried again!
